Spend a total of $50 a month between 3 local stores and help build your neighborhood economy. 
 
 By doing so, you will be giving more funding to your public schools, police and fire departments, roads, parks and other services.
 
Here are some super easy suggestions:
 
+Buy your cup of coffee 5 times a month from the independent coffeehouse, not Starbucks. $5.00-$22.50
 
+Buy light bulbs, gardening supplies, broom or mop at your local/independent hardware store. $9.00-$20.00

+Buy a child’s birthday gift or baby shower gift at your local children’s boutique.  $5.00-$50.00
 
+Buy that special gift for a birthday, baby shower, wedding or anniversary by going to your local boutique and find something original and unique that can’t be found at a big box store. $20-$100.
 
+Buy some chocolate or truffles 2 times a month at your local chocolatier. $3.50-$10.00
 
$50.00 adds up quick and you’re done (but by all means keep spending if you can).
 
It just takes a little effort to get your mind out the big box stores.

Thanks to everyone who took part in our “Dream Baby Shower Give-a-way”!  The last day to register for the dream shower was June 15th.  We drew on June 16th and the winner is Sherri S. from Piqua Ohio.  Sherri has won an all inclusive baby shower thrown by Pinky Scout.  This is a fantastic prize package worth over $1000.00.  Special thanks to all of our participating donors in Downtown Troy.  Bakehouse Breads has generously donated the baby shower themed Cake,  The Caroline Resturant is donating all of the catering, The Illiad Florist will be providing the flowers and Signature Day Spa will be treating Sherri and her guests to lavish spa treaments at the shower.

Although summer is just begining, we have just received a shipment of the cutest boots for this fall. Made by Puddle Jumpers, these polka dot boots come in grey and pink and also red and white. Not only are they just darling, but we love this brand for thier durability and comfort. You will want to snatch a pair up quick, they are already selling like hotcakes!
